Robbers loot Rs 63 lakh in 2 separate cases

In two separate robberies, Rs 63 lakh was looted from a Chartered Accountant and a collection agent in different parts of the city today.

The CA was looted of Rs 40 lakh cash he was carrying from his one office to other in Daryaganj area in central Delhi around 12:30 pm, police said.

"He was intercepted by three bikers who snatched the money from him. A case has been registered and investigation has been taken up," a police spokesperson said.

In the other incident, a collection agent working with a mobile recharge trader at Azadpur market in north Delhi's Bara Hindurao area was robbed off Rs 23 lakh around 8 pm.
 

"Sanjay was returning to Azadpur market after collecting the officer money from Chandni Chowk area when his motorcycle collided with another bike near Bara Hindurao Chowk," a police spokesperson said.

"The two men riding the other bike picked up a fight with him and snatched his bag containing Rs 23 lakh," he added.

Police have started investigation and screening CCTV footage for leads in the case.
