Three policemen were injured today when some robbers threw stones at them using a catapult after failing to execute a loot plan here, police said.
The robbers entered the house of Chandrakanta Jain in Vidhyadhar Nagar area in the wee hours today, but could not execute the loot as a police patrol van reached there.
After hearing siren of the patrol van, the gang members fled from the house to hide in a bush, and then attacked the policemen with their catapult (gulel), injuring three.

Police managed to arrest three of the gang members -- Durgesh, Kuldeep and Kullu -- all hailing from Ashok Nagar in Madhya Pradesh, they said.
Catapults and arrows were also recovered from them.
The gang had been active in the state capital for quite some time, and their whereabouts are being cross-checked with Madhya Pradesh Police, they said.
