Robbers waylaid car on NH-2, loot Rs 25 lakh

Four bike-borne youths have allegedly looted Rs 25 lakh from the manager of a CNG pump on the national highway-2 here, police said today.

"Loot incidence has taken place, however, exact amount is not known," SP City Srivan Kumar Singh said.

Four armed robbers riding two motorbikes allegedly waylaid the manager's car at about 10:30 AM and snatched a bag containing about Rs 25 lakh at a gun point and fled, police said.

The CNG pump manager was going to deposit the amount in a bank, police said, adding the area has been cordoned off to nab the culprits.
