Robbery at Greater Noida factory

Around twenty five armed men barged into a Udyog Kendra factory here early in the morning and allegedly robbed 6 tonnes of metals, police said.

Robbery took place at Aadi Fashion factory in Udyog Kendra area under Bisrakh police station.

"Manhunt has been launched to trace the robbers," a senior police officer said.

"Today at 1 a m around 25 armed robbers gained entry into the factory and at gun point overpowered two security guards and two other employees working at the factory .

"Thereafter they robbed over 6 tonnes of metal slabs of silver, zinc, brass and copper. They had brought a truck with them," factory owner Nitesh Jain, told PTI today.
 

"Thefts in Udyog Kendra has been rising in the recent past. Every day industrialists complained of theft of battery or AC. Police was unable to check the thefts in spite of our repeated requests," Greater Noida Udyog Vyapar Mandal president Ravi Bansal alleged.
