Two armed youths entered the branch of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and fired shots in the air to scare away the staff. As they advanced towards the cash counter, an alert bank guard opened fire, killing one of them on the spot.
His accomplice managed to escape, DSP Rajinder Sheoran said.
