Robbers disguised as customers decamped with ornaments weighing about 200 gm from a jeweller's shop, at a stone's throw from Sadar police station in the heart of the town today.
Two youths masquerading as customers entered the shop and wanted to see gold ornaments of their choice.
Taking advantage of the salesman's absent-mindedness, they stole a jewellery box containing gold ornaments weighing about 200 gm, the police said.
The two persons escaped on a motorcycle.
