Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has been awarded an honorary master's degree by Milan's Domus Academy - a fashion and design school.
The degree in fashion management was presented in recognition of "his role as an Italian fashion ambassador worldwide", reported Women's Wear Daily.
Cavalli also addressed a group of students after the ceremony - discussing his career highlights to date and his hopes for the future. The designer is set to launch an autobiography in October, documenting his life in candid detail.
"In a few months, you will know everything. I don't know why I decided to do it - I guess I had something to write. It doesn't really talk about fashion though, it talks about me and my life," Cavalli said.
