The 62-year-old singer has been fighting for his life in a hospital for days after developing pneumonia and slipped into coma which doctors said he had just a 10 per cent chance of surviving, reported Sun online.

"He will continue to fight. His vitals are perfect. He just needs to build his strength. Work is what he wants to get back to doing," RJ said.

RJ said he relived the moment his dad woke from the coma in a West London hospital.

"We said, 'We love you'. He said, 'Hi RJ', and, 'Hi sweetheart' to my mother." PTI NDS
