Crude palm oil prices edged up by 0.12 per cent to Rs 592 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders created fresh positions after uptick in demand at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in March edged higher by 70 paise, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 592 per 10 kg in business turnover of 250 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February was up by 50 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 581.30 per 10 kg in 179 lots.
Marketmen said fresh positions built up by participants due to pick up in demand in the physical market against restricted supplies from producing regions led to rise in crude palm oil futures.
