Robust demand lifts refined soya oil futures by 0.07%

Refined soya oil prices traded marginally higher by 0.07 per cent to Rs 751.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions after pick up in demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July edged up by 50 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 751.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 43,040 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in August contracts was up by 20 paise or 0.03 per cent to Rs 756.40 per 10 kg in 25,470 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders following improved demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts helped refined soya oil prices to trade higher at futures trade.
