Refined soya oil prices recovered by 0.19 per cent to Rs 762.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions after upsurge in demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in June went up by Rs 1.45, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 762.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 28,990 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in May gained Re 1, or 0.13 per cent to Rs 756.50 per 10 kg in 45,840 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders following pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
