Refined soya oil prices recovered by 0.26 per cent to Rs 736 per 10 kg in futures trade Monday as speculators built up fresh positions amid upsurge in demand at the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October went up by Rs 1.90, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 736 per 10 kg with an open interest of 53,610 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in November edged up by 40 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 736.20 per 10 kg in 12,520 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders after uptick in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing belts, mainly pushed up refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
