The Rolling Stones are taking their fans on a nostalgia trip by launching a touring exhibition that will display rare memorabilia, collected from their 50 years of performing together, at Saatchi Gallery in April next year.

The four band members -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood Charlie Watts -- have named the display as "Exibitionism" which gives fans an insight into the musical legacy that saw their transformation from being a London blues band into cultural icons.

The showcase will have over 500 original Stones artefacts including dressing room and backstage paraphernalia, rare instruments, original stage designs, costumes, audio and video footage, personal diaries, poster and album cover artwork.

"We've been thinking about it for quite a long time but wanted it to be just right and on a large scale just like planning our touring concert productions. I think right now it's an interesting time to do it," Jagger said in a statement.

Following its debut in London, "Exhibitionism" will travel to 11 more cities across the world.
