Actor-director Ron Howard says he is not interested in a "Happy Days" reboot as he feels it would not work now.
The 63-year-old star, who played Richie Cunningham in the popular sitcom for seven years until 1980, says the show was set in 1950s and already had a nostalgia attached to it when it aired for the first time, reported Contactmusic.
"A lot of it was about youth and that kind of discovery. You know, when we did the show it was already nostalgic and one of the reasons it didn't age or it ages very well is because it's already a look back," Howard says.
Ted McGinley, who joined the show as Roger Phillips following Howard's departure, had previously said that he would love to see "Happy Days" come back.
