Universal Pictures have roped in filmmaker Ron Howard to helm the film adaptation of thriller "The Girl Before".
The studio acquired the rights to the JP Delaney novel, to be published in 2016, reported Deadline.
"The Girl Before" revolves around a traumatised woman, who falls in love with a minimalist house and the man who designed it, but then finds that another woman died at the home three years earlier.

Howard's next film "In the Heart of the Sea," starring Chris Hemsworth, Ben Whishaw, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Benjamin Walker, and Tom Holland will release next month.
