The 35-year-old Irish singer, who is excited about the release of his debut solo project, said the material is a radical departure from anything he has done before, reported Contactmusic.

"I'm finishing the album this week, I've been in London mixing, and it will be out in August. It's called 'Fires' - my first studio album in six years. Quite exciting for me, brand new material. It's got that anthemic pop feel to it. There's not a lot of ballads on there, just one or two so very different from what I've done before," he said.

Despite working hard on his album, Keating, who recently split with wife Yvonne after 14 years of marriage, has found the time to take a little break and have some fun with friends.

"I'm here, there's a gang of us just hanging out, it's nice. Friends getting together and enjoying the music they love.

"I haven't been to a lot of festivals but a friend of mine was playing in his reformed band, Little Angels. I've never seen Bruce Springsteen before but I'm really looking forward to his set, he's amazing."
