Pakistan have picked rookie allrounder Ammad Butt in the 13-member T20 squad, which will play a one-off Twenty20 International against England on September 7 in Manchester.

The selectors have retained 10 cricketers who are currently playing in the one-day series in England.

It will be the first time wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed will be leading Pakistan in a T20 International after being named captain in May following the stepping down of Shahid Afridi in the wake of Pakistan's disastrous performance in the World T20 in India in March.

Ammad Butt, 21, has made the squad despite playing just six T20 matches at home and having limited experience of seven first class games. He was a member of the Pakistan 'A' side, which recently toured England but didn't produce any outstanding performance.

Pakistan squad: Sarfaraz Ahmed (Capt), Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Emad Wasim, Muhammad Nawaz, Ammad Butt, Muhammad Aamir, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Muhammad Irfan.
