Whiteley, 25, has handed the red Antonio Berardi dress to the British Heart Foundation, which is holding a sale in aid of its Mending Broken Hearts appeal, reported Femalefirst.

The dress was inspired by cartoon character Jessica Rabbit's famous scarlet gown.

The item will be auctioned alongside a Mulberry outfit belonging to Alexa Chung and artworks by Damien Hirst and Peter Blake.

A white diamond necklace modelled by Daisy Lowe and designed by Stephen Webster will also be a lot at the auction, which will take place on May 29 here.
