RPI president Ramdas Athawale today said that his party should get Deputy Chief Minister's post if the 'Mahayuti' (grand alliance) of Shiv Sena-BJP-RPI is voted to power in Maharashtra after the upcoming assembly polls.

"All the three members of the Mahayuti -- Shiv Sena, BJP and RPI -- should together take a decision on seat-sharing for the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Sena-BJP should not just use RPI as was earlier done by Congress-NCP," Athawale told reporters here.

"RPI should be alloted at least 30 seats for the assembly polls and should also get the post of Deputy Chief Minister if the mega-alliance is voted to power," he added.

The RPI leader also reiterated that his party would offer Lok Sabha ticket to sitting NCP MP from Satara Udayan Raje Bhosale if the latter joined RPI.
