Reliance Power today said that its Board has approved a maiden dividend of 10 per cent or Re 1 per share, amounting to a total payout of Rs 281 crore.
"The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on November 9, 2015, inter alia, has approved a maiden Interim Dividend of Re 1 (10%) per equity share of Rs 10 each," Reliance Power said in a regulatory filing.
The interim dividend will be paid to the shareholders of the company on or before December 9.

In a separate filing, Reliance Power said the company has fixed November 21 as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend.
Reliance Power had reported a 36.57 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 345.63 crore for the quarter ended September 30, on higher electricity generation.
Total income of the company increased to Rs 2,856.01 crore in the second quarter of current fiscal as against Rs 1,884.18 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company's consolidated net profit during the first half of the current fiscal (April-September) also rose by 38.71 per cent to Rs 689.97 crore compared with Rs 497.42 crore in the year-ago period.
The company generated 11,053 million units in the second quarter of the fiscal compared with 3,157 million units in the same quarter last year.
It said that the operating performance of its power plants including the 3,960 MW Sasan UMPP and 1,200 MW Rosa has been the best compared with its peers. Both these power plants operated at an availability of 90 per cent and 87 per cent, respectively.
The company has an power generation capacity of 5,945 MW.
