Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today described Congress' manifesto as a "bundle of lies and devoid of merits as well as logic", saying it has depicted party's poor vision for overall development of Punjab.

SAD spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was most surprising that the manifesto has carried promises of reforms in those fields which have witness tremendous progress during the last ten years of the SAD-BJP rule.

Listing such follies of the manifesto, Sirsa said that it included reforms in power whereas the reality is that the state is already power surplus.

Similarly, Congress failed to see the establishment of 2174 Sewa Kendras and Sanjh Kendra who have been delivering services to the people through e-governance when it made promises to make reform in the administrative front.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress Chief Amarinder Singh for trying to mislead the youth with the promise of 1 lakh taxis and 25 thousand tractors, the SAD leader said the man who imposed blanket ban on recruitment and cared least for education is now promising such jobs to them.
