An aged tribal couple were found murdered at their home in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district, police said today.

The bodies of Nirmaan Singh Munda and his wife Lagdu Munda were found at their home in Bada Sogai village on Friday morning, sub-divisional police officer of Seraikela Sumit Kumar said.

Police rushed to the spot on being informed and recovered the bodies.

Kumar said the couple was murdered with a sharp weapon and the identity of the attackers were yet to be known.

Munda had married a 23-year-old woman recently but she was not at home during the attack as she had gone out for a religious function, the police officer said adding the reason for the killing was being investigated.
