Rajani Ranjan Rashmi was today appointed chief secretary of Manipur replacing Oinam Nabakishore Singh, an official order said.
Rashmi, a Manipur cadre IAS officer of 1983 batch, would take the charge as chief secretary very soon, official source said.
Oinam Nabakishore Singh, an Manipur cadre IAS officer of 1984 batch, has been transferred as the Director General, State Academy of Training, with immediate effect, the order said.
