Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 1.10 lakh cash from a trader from near busy Tehsil office marketplace in Kendrapara Township today, police said.
The miscreants broke open the motorbike dickey containing the cash and decamped with the cash.
Guru Charan Rout, a businessman, had drawn the cash from a nationalised bank and been to the tehsil office in connection with official work when the theft took place, police said.
The culprits are yet to be identified. Investigation is on to crack the crime, said police officials.
