The election
officials today seized Rs 1.17 lakh being carried by a person without proper documents in Gudalur assembly constituency near here.
As the man, hailing from Kerala failed to produce valid documents, the amount was seized, officials said.
So far Rs 1.23 crore have been seized in different areas falling under Udhagamandalam, Coonoor and Gudalur constituencies, with Gudalur topping with Rs 66.71 lakh, Coonoor Rs 45.14 lakh and Udhagamandalam Rs 15.85 lakh, they added.
