Rs 1 crore for every district for disaster management

Jharkhand Cabinet today approved to allot one crore to every district for disaster management.

Earlier it was Rs 25 lakh lump sum for every district deputy commissioner to provide relief for disaster management, an official release said here.

The state government has decided to give one crore rupees lump sum to immediately meet any loss of life or property following any disaster, it said.

The decision would help provide immediate relief in the event of natural disaster, other local disaster and thunder strikes, the release said.
