More than 1,000 apartment properties worth Rs 10,000 crores located in major Indian cities are being offered to Singapore-based Indians at a two- day exhibition that kicked off here today.

The units on offer from leading Indian developers include up-market to low-cost apartments, said Sajan Varghese, director of the Mumbai-based 90 Degree Worldwide exhibition company organising the event.

Among the exhibitors at the Exclusive Pan India Property Exhibition are Godrej Properties, Mahindra Lifespace, Ruparel Realty, Shreepati Group, Shoba and Paranjape.

The properties are located in major cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.

Varghese stressed the importance of marketing one- bedroom-hall-kitchen (BHK) unit as an investment opportunity for Indian wage-based workers.

He said 300 BHK units are being offered at the exhibition, which are priced from Rs 19.5 lakhs in Chennai, Rs 25 lakhs in Bangalore and Rs 30 lakhs in Mumbai.

The highest price of an upmarket unit is Rs 60 crore.

Flexible payment terms with 20 per cent down payment and available financing schemes are in place for the properties, all of which have title clearance.

Discounts are also being offered by some developers for the "pre-launch" projects in major cities, he said.

The exhibition has received "a good response" from non- resident Indians here as it opened this morning, said David Anil Sharma, founder of media consultancy company Video Houze Pte Ltd of Singapore coordinating the event.
