Undeclared gold worth over Rs ten lakhs was seized from a passenger who arrived from Muscat at the airport here today, Customs officials said.
The officers of Air Intelligence Unit, Air Customs, found two gold chains totally weighing 349.70 grams kept concealed in a specially stitched pouch in the socks worn by the passenger, Customs Commissioner Sumit Kumar said.
The passenger is a resident of Kozhikode district.

Kumar said a strict vigil was being maintained by Customs sleuths at the airport in view of a spurt in smuggling cases.
