The Telangana government has alloted a budget of Rs 101 crore for the benefit of fishermen, state Finance Minister E Rajender said today.
Speaking at an event organised here on the occasion of World Fisheries Day, Rajender said the government is keen on the welfare of fishermen.
Fisheries Minister T Srinivas Yadav said the state government led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has freely distributed 40 crore fishlings to the fishermen.
