Two youth allegedly looted Rs 14 lakh in cash from the cashier of a cigarette dealer at Ambala Cantt today, police said.
Nand Kishore, the cashier was going on a motorbike to J&K Bank to deposit the money when he was stopped by a youth, who threw chilly powder in his eyes and snatched his bag containing the cash, they said.
Later, the accused escaped on a motorbike of his accomplice, who was waiting for him at a distance.
A case has been registered while the further probes are on, they added.
