Rs 18 lakh looted in two different incidents in Bihar

Armed men today allegedly looted Rs 18 lakhs from traders in Patna and Muzaffarpur districts, police sources said.

A trader, Ashok Vishwakarma, was allegedly robbed of Rs eight lakhs by the armed men in Mahendru locality under Pirbahor area while he was on his way to a bank to deposit the cash, the sources said.

An FIR has been lodged and raids were being carried out to nab them, they said.

In another incident, unidentified men allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 10 lakh from Sanjay Jha, who works as accountant of a leading businessman, from Karbala chowk under Town police station area in Muzaffarpur district, the sources said.
