Police seized unaccounted money totalling Rs 2.10 crore from the car of a VCK functionary at a toll gate near here Wednesday.
A police team initially found nothing in the car but when they thoroughly checked it they found currency notes stacked in seats and concealed in door panels, police said.
The VCK's state deputy secretary Prabhakaran and a party activist Thangadurai - were travelling in the vehicle, they said.
The two were said to be proceeding to Ariyalur via Perambalur fromTiruchirappalli, they added.
