"It is high time that the Panchayats play a more dynamic role in rural development," he said addressing people in Leherka village and Kotli Dhole Shah in Majitha constituency.
"The village with the best Panchayat would be given a grant of Rs 2 lakh, apart from the regular grant allocation," he said.
At the same time, he warned that Sarpanches found guilty of misusing grants would be taken to task.
