An overbridge connecting Salem 'A' camp with Thangamapuripatnam, on the surplus water source, at a cost of Rs 23 crore will be completed before the end of next year, Minister for Highways, Edapadi Palaniswamy said today.
He stated this at a function at the Mettur dam government High School after distributing free Laptops to 1313 students belonging to eight schools and free bicycles to 1136 students of nine schools.
He also distributed mixies, grinders and electric fans free of cost to 2900 beneficiaries under a government scheme.
Laptops valued at Rs 99.22 crore have so far been distributed to students, the minister said.
