The supplementary budget is an addition to the original budget provision of Rs 52,030.70 crore made in the annual budget, 2012-13.

The supplementary budget was presented when Congress members were in the well shouting anti-government slogans. The House was adjourned for the day as soon as the supplementary budget was presented.

While Rs 2677.21 crore is earmarked for the state plan, Rs 577.45 crore is kept for non-plan, Rs 411.93 crore is meant for centrally sponsored plan and Rs 265.81 crore for central plan, Acharya told reporters after presenting the supplementary budget.

"The supplementary budget emphasises on agriculture, irrigation, infrastructure development, social security, education and development of deprived classes," he said.

Rejecting opposition Congress allegation about neglect of peasants, he said priority has been given to agriculture and farmers even in the supplementary budget, which envisaged provision of Rs 110.44 crore under the Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and Rs 10 crore for Jalanidhi Yojana.

"We have made provision of Rs 267.57 crore for crop insurance and Rs 100 crore for interest subvention of farmers."

Provisions have also been made for National Rural Health Mission (Rs 163.26 crore), Indira Awas Yojana (Rs 189.67 crore), state's share for Sarva Sikshya Abhijan (Rs 200 crore) and for National Old Age pension to destitutes and other welfare schemes (Rs 196.57 crore), he added.
