Rs 3.97 cr to be spent to control infertlity in cattles

Punjab Government would provide nutritious fodder on 20 per cent subsidy per kg, which would be prepared according to the need of the different areas of the state, Punjab's Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike said giving the information here today.

He said the nutritious fodder would be made available throughout Punjab to prevent infertility in milch cattle.

Ranike said Punjab Government has imported 5,000 injections to prevent the breed of he-calves besides initiating programmes to reduce unnecessary expenditures on dairy farming.

He said the imported vaccines would be provided on 50 per cent subsidy which would be helpful in breeding only she-calves.
