Rs.4.5 crore sanctioned to 45 young entrepreneurs

To encourage young enterpreneurs starting their own industrial units, Tamil Nadu government has sanctioned a sum of Rs.4.5 crore as loan to 45 engineering graduates, diploma holders and ITI youths.

At the Salem Entrepreneurs Development seminar held today, the District Industrial Centre General Manager, Govindarajan said the state government was keen on the development of the youth technicians.

For this, a week long special training would be given for persons in the age group of 18 to 25, including transgenders and physically challenged and certificates are provided for getting loans from nationalised banks, he said.

A subsidy of 25 per cent of the loan amount will also be available, he said.
 

Salem District Collector, K.Magarabhusanam presided over the seminar.
