Rs 44 lakh looted from guard near Jaipur

Two motorcylce-borne robbers today looted Rs 44 lakh cash from a private security company's guard near Chandalai-pulia of Shivdaspura, a sub-urban town here, police said.

The incident took place around 12:30 hrs today on the highway near Shivdaspura when guard Rajesh Sharma took collection from a toll plaza to deposit it in a bank at Sanganer town, police said.

The guard was on his way to the bank when he was intercepted and jostled by two motorcycle-borne men. They fled after snatching the cash bag, police said.

All check posts were alerted to nab the fleeing robbers, they said.
