Rs 50 lakh assistance to kin of soldier killed in Naxal attack

The Haryana government today released Rs 50 lakh as financial assistance to the family of CRPF assistant sub inspector Naresh Kumar, who was killed in the Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh's Sukma.

Deputy Commissioner K Makrand Pandurang said the grant was issued under the welfare scheme of the Haryana government to provide ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh, including Rs 25 lakh each to the parents and widow of soldiers killed.

Kumar, hailing from Jainpur village here, was killed on Monday in the Naxal attack.
