Rs 500 crore Odisha Urban Infrastracture Development Fund

The State Office of Odisha Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (OUIDF) was inagurated here today by Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra.

The OUIDF's state office will be located in 4th floor of the Fortune Tower here.

Sources say, a Board of Truste has been formed for management of the OUIDF under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary. Development Commissioner I Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary Finance U.N. Behera, Vice Chairman BDA Vishal Dev, Ex-Chairman IOCL Sarthak Behuria and Charted Accountant Rajiv Sekhar Sahoo are other members of the Board. As per the provisions, another member will be nominated by Government of India.

At present OUDIF has augmented a fund of around Rs 500 crore with assistance from Germany. Shishir Kumar Ratha, Special Secretary Housing & Urban Development and Chief Executive Officer of OUIDF said that this fund will be utilized for raising eco-friendly urban infrastructures like sewerage, solid waste management, slum rehabilitation, drainage of rain and storm water, development of cremation ground, slaughter houses and others.
 

The inauguration of this type of office complex with modern gadgets and technologies has boosted the morale of the employees of H & UD department, Srinivas said.
