Rs 60 lakh looted at gunpoint from toll plaza employees

Four unidentified persons allegedly looted Rs 60 lakh from employees of Seragarh toll plaza from National Highway-5 at gunpoint today, police said.

The incident took place when the employees were on their way in a car to deposit the amount at a bank in Balasore town.

Police said three employees of the toll plaza were carrying the cash when the miscreants, who were following in a vehicle, intercepted them on the NH -5, about 3 kms from the toll gate and opened fire.

One employee, Pradeep Yadav, suffered bullet injury and has been admitted to Balasore district headquarters hospital.

A case have been registered in Balasore Sadar PS and a search is on to nab the culprits, police said.
