'Nashik Run' event organised here this morning collected Rs 80 lakh, organisers said.
About 8,000 city residents took part in the five-km run.
The money is collected through sale of t-shirts.

It is an initiative of the Nashik Run Charitable Trust, floated by some local industrialists and businessmen, which is now in its 14th year.
The money collected is used for various social projects.
The run started after the cyclists duo of Dr Hintendra and Dr Mahendra Mahajan lighted a torch.
There was a shorter run for the specially abled and the children too.
Mayor Ashok Murtadak too participated.
