Rs 9 lakh looted at gun point from bank

A group of armed robbers looted Rs nine lakh in cash from a branch of Krishi Gramin Bank at Noona-Majra village in Bahadurgarh sub-division here today, police said.

The robbers, who came in a black SUV, stormed into the bank and held the bank manager and the cashier captive at gun-point and looted the booty, Jhajjar SP Anil Dhawan said.

No security guard was present in the bank at the time of robbery, Dhawan said.

Though the police examined footage of CCTV cameras installed in the bank but failed to identify the robbers owing to their masked faces, he said.
 

A case has been registered in this regard, the SP added.
