The Election Commission today
announced bypoll to three Rajya Sabha seats, including the one held by late Congress veteran Murli Deora.
The election will be held on March 20, the EC said and the notification for the same will be issued on March 3.

Three seats -- one each from Maharashtra, West Bengal and Uttarakhand--fell vacant necessitating the bypoll.
While the Maharashtra seat fell vacant following the death of Deora (Congress) on November 24 last year, the Uttarakhand seat fell vacant following the death of Manorama Dobriyal Sharma (Congress) on February 18.
The Rajya Sabha seat from West Bengal fell vacant after the resignation of sitting member Srinjoy Bose (Trinamool Congress) on February 5.
Deora's term was till April 2, 2020, the term of Sharma was to last till November 25, 2017. Bose's term was to end on August 18, 2017.
