: Hitting out its former ally, CPI(M) today said the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) had 'betrayed' the left front on poll eve to join the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) camp.

The 'betrayal' was part of a larger conspiracy to join the UDF and the talks in this regard between UDF and RSP had begun much earlier...We never thought even in our dream that the RSP would betray us," CPI(M) state Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, told a meet-the-press programme at Ernakulam Press club here.

He alleged RSP national Secretary, T J Chandrachoodan, was a 'silent witness' to the conspiracy.

RSP, which was with the LDF for three decades, decided to part ways after it was denied the Kollam seat. A miffed RSP jumped into the UDF camp and N K Premachandran, Central committee member, was put up as a candidate.

Claiming that Congress will not get even a single seat from Kerala, he said the Oommen Chandy government will fall apart after the polls on its own internal issues.
