RSP provides financial assistance to NIT Students

A group of young students of National Institute of Technology (NIT) here got a scholarship of Rs 2 Lakh from Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).

The students have been selected to participate in the international Human Power Vehicle Challenge which would be held at Florida (USA) in April, 2014, RSP sources said.

For this purpose, the team is engaged in developing a hybrid human powered vehicle, which is an eco-friendly, non-polluting and non-fuel consuming machinery and has qualified to be a green sustainable technology.

The talented team of engineering students -- Anand Amrit, Rishabh Malhotra and Siddharth Das - received the scholarship from RSP's CEO G S Prasad recently, they said.
 

The team was accompanied by BBVL Deepak, Faculty of the Institute and Suman Ghosh, Registrar of the Institute while receiving the assistance.

RSP has been an ardent supporter of green technology and sustainable development. In order to encourage these young engineers and help them to take part in the international event, RSP has presented the students with a financial support of Rs 2 lakh under its CSR initiative.
