RSS chief to attend Bhaiyyuji Maharaj's event

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will attend an event organised by Indore-based spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj here on June 25 where scholarships will be distributed to 100 drought-affected students.

The programme 'Manavtecha Mahakumbh' is organised by Suryoday Pratishthan run by Maharaj.

"During the programme, scholarships of Rs 10,000 each will be distributed to 100 drought-affected students. Besides one lakh health cards, assuring free health services up to Rs 10 lakh, will be given to 100 farmers. Agricultural articles will also be distributed to the widows of farmers who have committed suicide," said noted playback singer Anuradha Paudwal who is a senior functionary of 'Pratishthan'.
 

She said 'Suryoday Parivar' has worked for water conservation and organic farming in the parched Marathwada region.

"As RSS is also active in social work, Bhagwat ji will be attending the event," Paudwal said.

Besides Bhagwat and Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, state Women and Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde, BJP state unit president Raosaheb Danve, MPs, MLAs, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, and other prominent personalities from the state and Madhya Pradesh will attend the function.
