Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar today condemned the recent assault on social activist Swami Agnivesh but said nobody has the right to hurt sentiments of others.
Agnivesh was beaten up at Pakur in Jharkhand on July 17 allegedly by members of BJP-affiliated youth groups who accused him of speaking against Hindus.
"It is wrong and condemnable. But nobody has the right to hurt others' sentiments in the name of freedom of expression," Kumar, an executive committee member of the RSS, told a press conference here.
He said there is need for a strong act against those who hurt religious faith.
Kumar was here to attend a programme of the Hindu Jagaran Manch.
On the mob lynching incidents in various parts of the country, Kumar said, "Any mob lynching incident is condemnable."
In a press statement, he alleged that 'Pathalgarhi' movements are taking place due to a conspiracy hatched by the church and missionary institutions.

"Pathalgarhi movement is suddenly active in Jharkhand, near Ranchi, as a conspiracy of church and missionary institutions," he said in the statement without elaborating.
'Pathalgarhi' is reportedly a practice in which villagers inscribe various tenets on huge stone slabs and ban outsiders in the area.
Two major 'Pathalgarhi' related incidents had taken place last month.
Five women working with an NGO were allegedly raped at gunpoint by a group of men, allegedly Pathalgarhi supporters, when they had gone to Kochang village in Jharkhand on June 19 to create awareness about human trafficking.
A week later, three policemen deployed at the house of BJP MP Karia Munda were abducted allegedly by the supporters of Pathalgarhi in Khunti district.
"People of some religions are conspiring across the country to revive the foreign flag in India again," Kumar said in the press release.
