A group of inebriated men created a ruckus and allegedly misbehaved with women at a live performance of Ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas here.

"Organisers served alcohol without the administration's permission during a show of Pankaj Udhas in NRI City yesterday. A few men even misbehaved with the women and beat up those who protested," SSP Yashaswi Yadav said today.

He said that SP West Bharat Singh has been tasked with investigating the matter and submitting a report within four days.

Police chowki in-charge of the area Nand Lal and a constable have been shifted to the police line for not tackling the incident properly, he added.

"We have got a written complaint that under the influence of alcohol, people belonging to the organising party and some others there misbehaved with women. They even threatened a person with a revolver," Singh said.

The firearm was recovered but the person accused of brandishing it is absconding, he said, adding that a case has been registered against the organisers.
