Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy today took stock of the skill development efforts being carried out by the National Skills Development Corporation throughout the country in a meeting with its officials here.
Rudy, who is the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship also reviewed 43 large scale programmes in the skills ecosystem across India and met representatives from four Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), namely Beauty & Wellness, Power, Handicraft and Hydrocarbon.
The Minister said that all SSCs need to have a detailed promotion campaign which should be aligned with NSDC & Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and in line the vision of Skill India, a statement said.

During the meeting, the Minister sought a detailed account of how NSDC has been supporting skill development in the country, it added.
These include efforts through schools and Education departments across 10 states, 5 state skill missions, 18 central ministries, 10 Boards and Universities impacting close to 12 lakh youth in universities and schools across the country.
